Ölfus Cluster works to support the development of the regional economy, with a particular focus on sustainable food production. Its primary area of operation is the Municipality of Ölfus, but its projects extend across the country, especially throughout South Iceland.
Ölfus Cluster provides advisory services in the field of business development, with a focus on environmentally friendly food production. Its area of operation covers all of South Iceland, with a primary focus on Ölfus and neighboring municipalities.
The advisory services include assistance with the establishment and operation of companies within the area of operation, such as support for market entry, product development and innovation, as well as assistance with preparing funding applications for specific projects.

Elliði Vignisson
Mayor of Ölfus
Elliði is the Chair of the ÖC Board. He is a trained psychologist and a former mayor of Vestmannaeyjar.
Árni Hrannar
Innovation and Development Manager
With a background in chemistry and industrial engineering, Árni has extensive experience in managing supply chains, production, and operations, and this expertise will be highly valuable in the continued development of Ölfus Cluster. Árni currently serves as CEO of Orku náttúrunnar and shares the cluster’s vision of responsible resource use and sustainable solutions for the future.

Helga has worked both in public policy and within forward-looking energy companies, and has been actively involved in shaping a vision for the sustainable use of natural resources. Through her involvement in Ölfus Cluster, she emphasizes connections to innovation, carbon neutrality, and responsible resource use for the benefit of society.
Hrafnhildur Árnadóttir
Project Manager
Hrafnhildur is an entrepreneur at heart and is, among other things, the founder and CEO of Frostþurrkun.
Grétar Ingi Erlendsson
Marketing Manager
Grétar works as Marketing Manager at Black Beach Tours and also serves as Chair of the Ölfus Municipal Executive Council. He is also a former basketball standout.

Business Development Manager
Haukur Þór studied biology and business administration and currently works as a Business Development Manager at Verkís.
